Simon Cowell Offered $144 MILLION A Year to Stay on 'American Idol'

Everyone loves to hate Simon Cowell, now here's one more reason to add to that running list.

He made $36 million last year as judge of American Idol and when his contract expires next May, Fox is willing to pay up to $144 million (no, that's not a typo) to keep him on the top-rated show.
