Philly Cop Charged With Raping Underage Girl for 8 Years

Tyrone Wiggins, a Philadelphia police officer, was arrested and charged with raping an underage girl repeatedly over eight years. The girl, who was 12 at the time of the first attack, told police she met Tyrone at an area recreational center, where the cop taught karate. The girl said Tyron first build her trust, then took her into his van one afternoon where he exposed himself to her, asked her to touch him and then to give him a professional. A week later - in the same van - he ordered the her to remove her pants, then he raped her while she cried. The forcible rapes continued. When she was 16, she says, Tyrone started raping her third input (anally). When she was 20, the "relationship" became more violent -- he started punching and slapping her. Finally, on Aug. 7, 2007, she reported Tyrone to police and it took two years for them to bring charges; he was arrested on Nov. 19. BTW: This alleged child rapist says he's innocent and his accuser is only coming after him for his paper. What?!

Once again, it pisses me off that the 'alleged' party's data gets put on blast, while the assumed victim remains a private citizen. He'll always have this stigma--even after an acquittal--while the other party will never get the same exposure.

Not fair. Innocent until proven guilty.
