Baptist Pastor Threatened To Shoot, Kill Son Because He Doesn't Go to Church. Whaaaat?!

The son of a popular Alcoa, Tenn. pastor has taken out an order of protection against his father, claiming he was threatened with a gun during an argument at a church because he wasn't coming to church as often as his father believes he should.

The order of protection was filed by 32-year-old Michael Louis Colquitt against 60-year-old Joe Colquitt, pastor of St. John Missionary Baptist Church.

Michael told police his father (pictured) pulled out a handgun when they met at the church to discuss church attendance last Friday. He told officers his father loaded the gun then pointed it at him and threatened to kill him, his wife and family. But wait. It gets crazier. Michael claims Joe punched him in the face.

We swear, Jerry Springer's cameras weren't rolling and these aren't members of the Jackson family.

Joe, who doesn't have a license to own a gun, told cops he pointed the weapon at the ceiling.

Utter madness!
