Man Who Threatened to Kill NY Elected Officials, Entire Police Force is Unsurprisingly an Idiot

And the Donkey of the Day is *drum roll* Frank Console! The 50-year-old from Brooklyn, NY who threaten to kill the kill the NYC mayor, governor of New York, and all the police on Staten Island pleaded guilty this afternoon to a felony count of first-degree falsely reporting an incident. He's truly a genius.
According to court papers, Console telephoned his first threat in to 911 on May 7. "My name is Frank Mitt Scotti Scalaquiti," those documents quote him as saying. "I want to kill the mayor and the governor, not the president. I have an AK47." He made the call from the St. George Ferry Terminal, police said. Two days later, he called 911 again, this time from a hospital in Queens, court papers allege, and said, "I want to kill the mayor, governor, and all the police on Staten Island." He made his final call on May 16 from near the Whitehall Ferry Terminal. "There is a bomb in the 120th Precinct," he allegedly said. Console was caught on video making the call, and police nabbed him after he rode the ferry to St. George, a law enforcement source said. The arresting officer, a detective in the NYPD Intelligence Division, recognized Console from past dealings with him, the source said. Console has contacted the Secret Service in the past as well, the source added.

The genius will be sentenced to two years in prison during a hearing next month. We don't have his mug shot, but we're sure it will be everywhere Thursday.
