Woman Jailed For Two Months Because Her Name is 'Teresa'

Teresa Culpepper is about to come into some money. Lots of it -- because Atlanta police are terrible at their job. Last August, Teresa says she called police to report her truck was stolen, but when cops arrived, they arrested her, claiming there was outstanding warrant for her for aggravated assault. She spent 53 days in jail. Here's the thing: The wanted woman had a different last name, date of birth and physical description. Pretty much the only thing Teresa has in common with the perp (who's an honest lady) is their race. Teresa start thinking how you gon' spend that money now, cause that check is on its way.

UPDATE Dec, 2: Shock! Teresa has sued.

Meanwhile, in Texas City, Texas, an 11-year-old boy was struck by a car while walking to school. He picked himself up and dusted himself off. The driver was given a ticket for having an an invalid license and the 11-year-old boy? Well, he got a ticket, too. For walking on the wrong side of the street at the time of the accident. Wait, what?
