An American Airlines flight out of NYC's John F Kennedy Airport to Washington, DC was delayed for several hours this afternoon after two flight attendants got into a verbal altercation after one flight attendant refused to get off her cell phone while the aircraft was preparing to take off. Maybe that flight attendant was on the phone with a headhunter because American, which filed for bankruptcy in 2011, is planning to fire 11,000 employees and cancel more than 300 flights through the end October. And pilots are mad and have been calling in sick. Your best bet is to not fly American anytime soon.
