NBA Baller Terrence Jones Jailed For Attacking Homeless Man

Terrence Jones, a forward with the Houston Rockets player, was arrested in Portland at about 2am on Wednesday after police said he yelled at a homeless man and stomped on his leg. According to a police sergeant, he was watching a group of people leaving a nightclub when he noticed Terrence walk by a doorway where two homeless men were sleeping. The sergeant said Terrence, 21, yelled, “Wake up,” then raised his leg and stomped down on one of the man’s legs. The victim, 46-year-old Daniel John Kellerher, received a minor leg injury and did not require immediate medical attention. Terrence was arrested and charged with harassment. He was released on own recognizance and is expected back in court on Tuesay. Which reminds us, Scottie Poppin is being sued for stomping on a fan.

Update, Aug. 2: The folks over at KGW tracked down Daniel to get his side of the story. He says he was "shocked" when Terrence stomped on his leg and describes the stomp-ation "like an electric fence went through me at that point in time.” Daniel, who struggled with homelessness and drug addiction for almost 20 years, says he felt belittled, disrespected and demanded to press charges against the basketball player. (Sidebar: Terrence's lawyer says his client "tripped" on Daniel's leg.)
