Southwest Airlines Flight Forced to Land After Passenger Went Batsh*t Crazy 'For Jesus'

A 27-year-old man who arrested after he went batshit crazy on board a Southwest Airlines flight was released from jail today. According to police, Lemar Sheron Rogers was arrested Tuesday after a 6:58am flight from Seattle to Sacramento made an unscheduled stop in Portland because Lemar was high on drugs and on Jesus. According to an affidavit by FBI agent Jake Green, Lemar boarded the plane and began yelling that he had purchased a first-class ticket. He was informed that Southwest did not have a first-class section. He then proceeded to demand three glasses of wine, then he began cursing at the other passengers, flashed gang signs and demanded to speak with the pilot. A flight attendant boiled a pot of water to use against the suspect if he tried to approach the cockpit. When officers detained Lemar, he told them he had previously smoked "purple hash" and the hand gestures he made were "for Jesus." Yeah. He was charged with interfering with flight crew members. He's due back in court on March 20.

Here's the criminal complaint detailing Lemar's bathit craziness.
